LHC Smashing Atoms at Record LevelStaffScientists hope to collide each proton beam of the Large Hadron Collider at energies of 3.5 trillion eV by March of this year. Provided there are no birds dropping baguettes or equipment failures before that time. This level is about half of the LHC's potential and three times that of the previous record held by Fermi National Labs.
