Hungarian Economy in Trouble

Staff

The IMF announced in 2009 that the Hungarian economy would see improvement starting in 2011, stabilizing in 2010. Yet, word from the Hungarian government has put that prediction into question. Early announcements by the Hungarian government have cast a pall over the future of the Hungarian economy, likening it to the Greek financial problems. Announcements have driven down the value of the Euro which may go as low as $1.17 per Euro in the Summer of 2010. What will happen to the Euro next is anyones guess.
