Rise in Alzheimer's

It was projected in 2008 that Alzheimer's would be on the rise affecting the rapidly aging population. Projected rises in Alaska and Colorado are 47% over the rate in 2000. Wyoming is also expected to have a significant increase over 2000 by 43%. These projections were made by the Alzheimer's Association.

Wyeth, Elan Corp., Eli Lilly & Co., Myriad Genetics Inc., Merck & Co., and GlaxoSmithKline Plc. are working on treatments for Alzheimer's.
